Close Call

Well almost lost Abbie todday. We were at a friends cottage and this morning when I let Abbie run around the yard she saw the rock shoal markers (boat bumpers) and tore off like a bat out of hell. I called her back and she would not listen hell or high water. She got to the bumper and tried her damndest to bring it in. I was calling her and yelling at her to leave it. She was going under and struggling she finally let loose and came in. She collapsed at shore and puked up a lot of water.

First time recall failed on her. Gonna have to tighten it up.

Good to here things worked out that would be a sad way to lose your best friend but sounds like u learned a good leson glad it all worked out

Got a PM tonight asking why I didn't go in and get her...couldn't get my boots and gear off quick enough. I would have sunk like a rock. It just happened so fast. Hopefully there won't be a next time, but if there is, I'll be getting wet.
