Hunt Test Council

I see that the CKC has approved the hunt test council starting January 1st Richard Paquette the Director for Ontario North has sent out an e-mail requesting resumes in order to appoint two members. If interested his e-mail is wenrick@wenrick.ca.

Hunt test council will be responsible for considering and subsequently making recommendations to the Board regarding all matters relating to hunt test. How's that for glitter speak.

I see that a Mr. Wilson has been appointed as Chair of the hunt test council I wonder who he is!

Are you referring to the line in the most recent CKC memo that said, "Mr. Windsor was appointed Chair of the newly created Retriever Hunt Test Council." ?

Doug Windsor is a longtime Director of the CKC. He's an international conformation judge, runs two clubs (the Elora Gorge Kennel Club and the KW Kennel Club), and has been a longtime breeder of Goldens and Flatcoats under the registered name "Butterblac". We have had Goldens from him in the past (both were excellent gun dogs and were hunted over for years). He is currently the chair of the Working Certificate council, and his son-in-law is working on his Flatcoat to get him ready to enter the field game. He is an enthusiastic supporter of the working gun dog/retriever, and was most recently spotted in a lawn chair at the line of a field event last weekend, in the snow/cold.
