Anyone from there a member? Saw a truck full of dogs on the 401 around Bowmanville the other day. Cool looking truck but unfortunately I couldnt see any of the pups, just wondering if they were a member here.

Hey Verno,

That is Bill Little's truck, Don Little does all the training now. They Live just north of Kingston and train/trial here all summer.

Bill has a litter of pups due any time as well for anyone looking.

Don was on his way to the LOC trial at Tiny. He stopped in and trained for a couple of days here on the farm He and his dad have Abilena kennel on Burbrook Rd in Kingston. His brother in law is Larry Hare with the Kingston club. Alot of the dogs he runs are owned by one person. I think she has 3 or 4 junior dogs on his truck now plus about 4 all age open dogs. We will be going down to train with him the first week of August so I can pick up my little lady.

Anna you should convince him to join here. We need a guy like that here even if he only posts pics of his rig. I think I annoyed him a little driving beside him admiring his truck and trying to see his pups.

When you have as many dogs to train as he does there is no time for anything else. When we go down to train with Don and his dad we have a heck of a time just trying to keep up. If anyone thinks the life of a pro is easy they sure haven't worked with one. Don and his dad start at 7:00 in the morning and it is often 6:00 when Don pulls back in and then there is still dogs to air and feed before the day ends. You gotta love what you do.

I can second that. When I use to work shift work I trained with Don fairly regularly. Their days start very early feeding and airing dogs, the field truck heads out first thing in the morning and Don doesn't usually get back to the kennel untill 6-7 o'clock. The entire time the truck is gone the dogs that are doing basics and yard work are trained around the kennel. As great a guy as Don is I am sure the last thing he wants to think about at night is dogs.

Not like his dad,who eats, sleeps and dream dogs. He is always coming up with some new idea for a drill or to correct a problem. last time i talked to him he said he was having some trouble with my girl looking straight out, she wants to look up. but he said he had a solution for the problem. I could have told the reason she looks up is because we have run alot of hills with her. Anyway the problem will be corrected when I go down in two weeks. Don took 6 dogs to the water marks at Tiny I think.

Anyone who knows him realizes just how true that statement is.

Bob Black sent me the info on this litter. It is a repeat breeding with Razor. Don had a pup from the last litter with him. Razors Carbon Copy (Car). He was a nice looking animal, fairly rangy and worked extremely well. Will check and see if I still have Bob's e-mail
