headed back over to rick wilkens for some more training with the big dogs

this is training ala steel cage match [for ya wrestling fans]:cheesy:

don't worry folks, nobody was body slammin no body.im trying to describe how really well thought out the marks and blinds were that were set out.you quickly became aware of where the holes were in your training and gave all who wanted too a oppertunity to really challenge our dogs and ourselves.

we had quite the bunch out so it was pretty much a hunt test or trial like atmosphere except for the heckleling and duck calling coming out of the gallery [tuff crowd for sure]:icon1_lol:

i got to tell ya it was a great day, some really great training with a lot of laughs and i learned another thing or two:bf_new:

here is the gang ready to carve up anyone who came to the line with their dawg[it was all good natured ribbingsmiliesex: ]

as you can see from the vehicals we had a gang out.there's bruce bringing his dawg to the holding blind

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i67/quackaddict2/2007_07210012.jpg

brian waits in the last holding blind while gerry scopes out the test

this gallery was taking no prisoners

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i67/quackaddict2/2007_07210013.jpg

jeff runs it as a full blown triple with a blind, now you could make it as hard or as easy as you wanted[remember we are supose to be training]

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i67/quackaddict2/2007_07210014.jpg

the first bird out was a breaking bird, landed just in front with a big splash

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i67/quackaddict2/2007_07210018.jpg
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i67/quackaddict2/2007_07210015.jpg

second bird was in line landing in the water on the other side of a point
trick was to get your dog to look out at it with the first bird laying in front
then a big swing for the third bird to the right with it hitting the water on the other side of a spit of land.the blind ran past a point and an island with the first two birds being a factors [nice little test eh]

got us a nice shadey place to harass everybody from during the afternoon training set of marks and blind.these were even more difficult than this morns set so most of us took it as singles as there were some tuff concepts to get across to the dogs

mario runs his dog on the season blind

Keep you eyes of the full bodies:strangle: ,the training grounds are in Mount Bridges just outside of Sarna ,the person who ownes it is Rick Wilks ,and his Son Charlie for now :strangle: (inside joke on the strangle) but he has great grounds everything for puppies to the most season of dogs can run and train. I will say that if you are having an issue and you need help Rick will bend over backwards to help and he takes the time to break it all down so you understand what the dog is doing and seeing and he offers a solution . 2labs
