Anyone on here use prong collars to train their dogs for obedenice? And does it work?

Just curious because I saw this video and this guy was using one:

I use a prong collar regularly for OB work. WHen used CORRECTLY they are a great tool.

I agree with Kevin on this one, when used correctly they are a great tool. I too have used them in the past for OB work and will continue to in the future when the need arrises. They look worse than they are.

I think they are one of the best training tools for OB. I used one for first dog and did the same for my second.

The prong collar pinches the skin as opposed to the choke collar which if used incorrectly will severly bruise the dog and cause larynx damage and deep tissue brusing....you make the choice.

I have not seen to many dogs continue to pull on a prong collar if the owner properly "pops: the dog with it. The choke has it' s place in training as well, but in my opinion it should not be used for corrections.

I was introduced to the Prong by Eric, and have to agree with Drew that it looks far worse than it is...

They work, WELL. It's important to size them properly though.

Nice thing about the prong is that the dog corrects itself, if you are using the collar correctly.
