hello guys and gals,
my name is Steven and i am currently in the market for a new Lab pup. im looking for a great house dog and a great hunting retriever. i am located in toronto and willing to drive an hour or 2 to meet a possible breeder.
does anyone have input on the following breeders?
woodecoys kennel
dakota retrievers

i am a amateur trainer who has never trained a dog to retrieve but eager to learn.
like usual the dog must be registered pure bred with all health clearances.
thanks for the help i look forward to your replies

Hey good luck on your quest I would recommened that you research the breeder and see both parents if possible , you want to hunt the dog then see if you can see one of the parents in action every dog has there own style and it may not fit you, also buy the best you can afford go to local picnic trails and see whats happening if you see a dog that you like see where it came from and contact that person. Also decide what type of lab you would like such as, colour, sex, American or English . Try to join a training group I dont care if you want to run field trails or hunt test these people will bend over backwards to help and it may cost you ,your turn of throughing birds to loading wingers but it will be time well spent. Good luck and enjoy your journey with the pup when you find what you are looking for .
