I have been doing lining issues for a while now. Baseball, wagonwheel, etc.
This morning Abbie decided she was going to go for what ever pile she wanted. No discipline at all, total defiance. Put her in the truck, waited a few minutes and tried again. Again, total defiance, she wanted to go where ever she wanted. She listened with the whistle, sit and here. But when I lined her up she would go to what ever pile she wanted.
Anyone run into this issue.
I had issues like that when we went from 8 bumper WW to 16, it took alot of patience to get through and I thought he would never get there but then he "got it".
Might be a good idea to leave anything of value in the truck so you don't have to go looking for it later.....not that I had that happen-just saying,

Just took her back out, set up one pile to show her what I wanted. Went to two piles and so on. Kept it short because of the heat. I'll try again tomorrow night and see how it goes.
And Tim, I left my lining markers at the field...

Oh, I know what you meant, I'm surprised I haven't swallowed my whistle yet...the dog is starting to understand DOH, AARRGH and several other voculizations out of me. For some reason I can't understand whenever she hears Homer Simpson say "DOH!" she runs for her kennel...lol..
