More on Kap

The winners of the two opens will have thier names and their dog's names engraved on a beautiful trophy presented in the name of the late Howard Yee. The trophy was perchased by the northern people to honour Howie and all he did for field trialing in Timmins and Kapiskasing. Peter and Terry Martin deserve a whole lot of credit for carrying on the tradition. It is now a one man show and did not go off with out a hitch. Last minute judges had to be found to replace two that were ill and one that was judging open that ran over time.
Big thank yous are owed to Trevor Dickens who stayed an extra day, Ken Crosby who gave up running his young dog and Jim Dorobek who said when someone needs help you help them. Tests were great. Terry Martin's supper was super as usual and the weather couldn't have been better. Blackfllies were pesky but that is the north. Even got to see some of the Lumberjack Festival.

Congrats to Anna and Eden -- looks like a big weekend for Kevin as well (although I see Chuck and Al did OK too) -- not bad for Jim D. with Lefty et al -- see Vera got a RCM with Dana (still the Junior dog to beat though I would think) -- wonderful to hear how they decided to honour Howard Yee -- and Peter Martin does dserve a big hand for all his work -- hope he has the Kap FT again next year -- hopefully I'll be running then
