I just spent one of the best weekends of my life at a Rick Smith Training Seminar for Retrievers and Pointing Breeds. If you're interested in getting your young dog started off right, solving dominance/refusal problems, learning how to use an e-collar correctly, learning how to use an FF table correctly etc then don't miss an opportunity to attend next summer. 60 % of the time is spent on you working with your dog under instruction. You don't sit all day. You won't be wasting a dollar. I felt I had my money's worth at the first session.

I am glad you enjoyed it Sharon, I hope that every one else that attended enjoyed it as well . I know I have sung Rick's praises for a bit now but just getting to sit and listen to the man during the breaks and at the end of the day and some of the stories he has to tell is worth the price of addmission to me.
The fact that he has taken what his dad Delmar taught him and integrated todays available tools into the training methods and packaged it into a seminar that is understandable and very user friendly and gets the job done is a huge bonus.
I know SportDog works hard to get the whole seminar together, gathering up a few sponsors and getting the word out to everyone.
I took a few pictures when I was there, here is the link to all of them.
