Puppies First Bird

I have a visitor for thr next 10 days or so. I am puppy sitting Lucy ( One of Dixie's puppies) for her new family while they are on holidays.
I picked her up today around 1pm and headed off to London to catch the end of the Rick Smith seminar.
When we go there there things were just breaking up so we said hello to everyone as puppies love to do.
We then put a pigeon out for her to find. We put it on a 20 ft twine and hid it in some long grass. I clicked a check cord on Lucy and headed out to find the bird. After exploring the field a bit I guided her towards the bird and as Lucy came into the scent cone she snapped into a very nice point.
She held for about a minute and we flushed the bird up for her. When the bird came down she ran over and grabbed it !!
Good Girl Lucy !!!! She is all bird dog just like her mom Dixie!!!

they are one high energy dog

They are pretty high energy, an hour of off leash running will do a lot to help keep sanity in the house.
Hope he does well wih his new puppy.
