When I got my Brit one of the conditions were to have him neutered. A good dog with good lines but not coming for the price I got with no strings attached. Well okay. I truely wish I had not done it. He has gone all feathery which is really problematic in the field and it looks like sh_ _. I wish I could do something about that. Too late.

Spear,
Go to a horse suppy or tack shop and purchase some Show Sheen.
Spray it on and brush it through his hair before you run him. It will make getting the stickers and burrs out much much easier.

It is a Shame but it does happen that when you fix a Brittany their Hair goes all fuzzy. I don't know why, it just does. But go to a Good Pet Store that Sells Grooming Supplies and get a Coat King #20 Blade Striper. It will help rack out that Coat. You can Also take a good Pair of thinning Shears and clip under the Hair once in one Spot and then move it to another Spot and so on over the Coat. Never in the Same Spot though. Then Brush it out and it should lay flatter. Also try V05 Hot oil Treatment and a Good Conditioner. If I was close I would have loved to show you what I mean about the Coat King and the thinning Shears. Try adding Fish oil to the Food too.

Okay, thanks I will try some of these ideas. I not sure what you mean about clipping under the hair but maybe I will find someone who can show me.

Slid the Thining Shears Teeth open, under a section of hair and Clip. Pull it out from there and move to another spot. THis is so you don't have Cut marks on the Top to show. :opps: I will see if I can Take a Picture for you and I will post it tomorrow, ok !

Well thanks for asking Maverick. Trigger is doing great, never in my life have I had a better family dog than this Brit. As for training. He seems to have gotten over a lot of the defiance he had when I got him and he seems to be easier to teach so training is going a lot smoother as well. He is just over 2 years old now. My ankle is healed up quite a bit and so I can walk around more and will be doing a lot of work with him this year that I had wanted to do last year.
