What is a JAM?

What is a JAM in reference to Field Trials? I see this term when people are talking about placing at events.....I have no clue what it means.

It means Judges Award Of Merit. It means the dog did the work but not wll enough to place

In Canda it is called a CM (Certificate of Merit) Means the same thing as a Jam. You will also hear it referred to as a "greenie". All your CMs are green ribbons.
