I gotta buy or make a blind....

I think it's a coin toss as far as using a blind for your dog. I've had several duck hunts where the dog is in plain view of the birds with no issues and others tell me they can't decoy anything with the dog out.

I really wanna get her used to hunting in the blind with me, but so far she's REALLY been resisting it... Maybe if we do it outside with a mark thrown she'll be better... One she catches on that she needs to laydown behind me to get the mark, it may be better... We'll see... I'd like to avoid having one more thing to bring...

I've seen guys in layouts and when they pop up the dog is laying at their feet. As for the dogs being out of sight, Abbie was on her retrieve today and geese were coming in all around us....

Agreed that the dog might not have an impact... My biggest reason for having her in the blind with me is 1-Safety, and I'm not only talking about her being in front of a gun, but shooting over her (Muzzleblast) is a problem... 2-Having her in the blind will let me know where she is, and not breaking...

We'll see...
