Sandie sent this to me

Hi All,
I thought I would send email updates in case you're interested. If you're not, let me know & I will take you off the list.
Sunday-Day 1
Wide open triple shot, Left (approx 240yds) , (big 120 degree turn), Right (approx 240yds) , then middle(approx 170yds). Left gunner retired. I believe both the left and right marks landed in a hay field, low cover but the go bird had lots of cover and terrain to maneover through.
Boomer and Hannah both had a clean set of marks, no hooks or handles.
After marks were p/u they ran a blind up the middle past the middle gun.
Boomer and Hannah both had a clean blind-no issues.
There were some handles on the left retired and at least one pick up.
No idea what the starting number for tomorrow will be as of right now.

Cool day here in Iron Bridge with slight drizzle.
Third series is a water triple with a short retired based in a very irregular concept pond layout. Test will take all day possibly into Tues.
A number of handles occurring with this test-fairly short but tricky.

Some great dogs have been lost and some great dogs are still at it.
After the the 5th things genarally start to get nasty. The tests get tougher and the judges are less forgiving.
Good luck to the CHD'ers still competing.

From Sandie
HI,
call backs to 7th series; 30 dogs. Dogs dropped: 17, 18, 26, 28, 41, 42, 48, 62, 66, 70
7th series:
double land blind with a dry shot. Originally had a poison bird for both blinds but the 3 test dogs p/u the poison bird so the judges changed it to a dry shot. They were "thread the needle" blinds for both the dogs and the handlers (I think).
I'll let you know callbacks once I get them-the plan is to finish the blinds, then run series 8 which is to be land marks. 9th and 10th series tomorrow-probably water blind then water marks.
S
dogs dropped from the 7th:
3, 14, 16, 24, 30, 33 & 37.
8th series:
Land quad with double retired. Don't have all the details but distance for long bird about 370yds. Pheasants used on all stations, 3 males, 1 female (I think it's on the go bird).
First 4 dogs that ran...3 handles.
I think I'm heading North in the hopes that Hannah and Boomer are in the 9th series. I'll still try and keep you all up to date.
S
I think I have all the dogs out for the picks after the 8th
# of dogs still in from your picks not including your tie dog .

They dropped another 8 dogs after the 8th series...unfortunately, Hannah was one. Boomer is still in, going to the 9th.
15 dogs going to the ninth series, only 5 don't have handles, 3 with no hooks. The land quad started with 23 dogs, 12 dogs handled and/or p/u.
I'll try and get the numbers of the dogs that are still in in the morning.
Rumour has it, it's suppose to be a water blind, then water marks for the 10th.

Hi all,
9th series was a water blind about 300+ yds with a poison bird thrown towards the line. It had a couple of water re-entries. Chuck Dygos lined the blind with one dog (sorry, not sure which one).
1 dog dropped: #35
14 dogs are Finalists...Boomer is one!!
10th series: water quad with double retired, cheaty water.
Will let you know this afternoon what happens.
Thank you all for your good wishes and thoughts. No matter what happens, it's been a great trial and we are so proud of Hannah and Boomer.
