Had a great day today having one of my dogs retrieving a pigeon in my decoys I put out. I will be doing it tommorro morning again and was wondering can I leave the decoys out this close to opening day?

I put mine out at dusk the night before the hunt. Just less time to diddle around in the dark.

Ed I have been up at Hullett and the MNR said it was ok to put decks out the afternoon before opening day . That maybe just them . Terry

I thought it was illegal to leave coys out, had a game warden start to pick my coys up once because he didnt see me in my blind. Might want to check first, things change every year!!! :der:

This is just a guess... but isn't most of the shooting this time of year on local birds.

Leaving your decoys out for a day or two. I suspect it wouldn't take long for the locals to figure out they are fake .

Greg I think he is talking about put them out the afternoon or night before you are going to shoot . I have decks out all year round in your pond Ed that I train the pups with and even the older dogs so they don"t even look at them at a trial or hunt test . If they say anything say there mine .Terry

I went through all the regs last night and the only thing I found was that electronic or recorded calls were not allowed.
