Opening Day

well the year will be remberd as i got my first band of the year on a goose we set up in a field in the afternoon the ducks did not show up as i was hoping but the geese filled the void not seeing as many ducks as i was hoping for this year but wood ducks seem to be all over the place up north is now in deep frezee got first snow fall 15 sept -7 to -10 all week so birds should be here soon geese are styarting to show up in big numbers let the good times begin :bf_new:

Congrats on the band! Do you do any Woodcock hunting up your way? Going up with some friends after Thanksgiving to a cottage on Black Donald lake to do some grouse and woodcock hunting.

I dont hunt woodcock but there are lot of grouse this year seeing lots crossing the roads u will be up befor the deer hunt so there should be lots around where u are going is about 20-30min from my house Good luck Tim

No bands here yet, but got a Blue-Bill on Sat, the fall ducks are coming!! :bigrin
