Has anyone had any problems with the batteries on their pro control. I have one unit that just does not seem to want to charge. Tri-Tronics has a lot of replacement batteries listed on their web site but nothing for the pro control reciever.
I have not opened the unit up yet to see what kind of batteries are in it.

I know my Bark Limiter is a CR2, but I doubt that will help you... I'd just call Collar Clinic, and play dumb ;)
I would not hesitate to call Tritronics' directly. They have been super friendly and helpfull with any issues I've had with my stuff.

Hey Kevin - there are a few guys having trouble at our club. I know one guy called Tritronics and they told him to get a certain type of battery, which he did but it didn't work.
I would have to say there is a growing number of people not too pleased with TT right now. A few (including myself) have moved over to use Dogtra or SportDog.
I only switched because of the size. I had a Pro 500 but it was too big to lug around when hunting. I looked at the TT Sport series (which was the only TT available at the time) but it was not waterproof and had a limited warranty. I ended up buying a Dogtra collar and have not looked back since.
Some of the others in our club with Dogtra collars (including me) cannot believe how long these collars go without needing to re-charge. A very well built product.

I have had nothing but positive experience with TT and will not be getting any other products than TT. Just wondering if anyone has had battery problems.

TOUCHE :fencing: - you got me on that one!! So what if I want to go for a swim with the dog every now and then! Duck hunting and swimming go together - especially when you are in a canoe!!
Sorry Kevin - I didn't mean to trash TT or suggest you leave them. I have their remotes for my wingers and they have been pretty good. I had a few of the plastic casings crack on the receivers but TT customer service was very good in replacing them. The only reason I moved over to Dogtra was more of a size issue.
I only meant to pass on the story about the batteries. My experience has been listening to two people complain about the same situation - it sounds like a difficult problem to solve. Good luck.

NO offence taken Randy. The big issue is the training partners I have. One of which you probably know is a TT rep, I don't think I would EVER hear the end of it if I ever showed up with anything other than Tri-Tronics. That is of course not the only reason, I really like the products and to this point have had nothing but positive experience with the products and customer service.

I have a TT Pro 200 G2, and am very happy with them... I picked up the Dogtra RRD releases for the Uplanders, and love them... Although I find the buttons on the receivers clicky...

OK Guys, Here's the scoop on the Tritronics Pro Control RX. Each RX takes 2 (yes 2) batteries simplier to the batteries in their remote collars. Now if the RX is 3-4 years old and has been used enough it may be the batteries. If they are newer than it may need servicing to fix the problem. I would contact Tritronics directly and get them to service it (they sometimes (not always) replace the defective unit with a new one depending on the problem). When they service the unit they will also change the batteries. Not sure what they charge to service the Pro Control RX.
